In the final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers, Sri Lanka emerged victorious against Scotland, securing a 68-run win.
While both teams had already qualified for the Women's T20 World Cup 2024, the final determined the groups they would be placed in.
Sri Lanka Women will compete in a group alongside India, Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand, while Scotland will be in a group with Bangladesh, South Africa, West Indies, and England.
Earlier, Sri Lanka secured their spot in the Women's T20 World Cup by defeating the host nation UAE in the semi-final, while Scotland qualified for the first time by beating Ireland in their semi-final match.

Sri Lanka stayed undefeated throughout the tournament and continued their winning streak in the final against Scotland.
Scotland's stand-in captain, Sarah Bryce, chose to field first after winning the toss. Scotland played without their star captain, Kathryn Bryce who is Sarah's sister in the final.
Although Scotland's bowlers initially took two quick wickets, Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu's brilliant batting turned the game in Sri Lanka's favor. She scored 102 runs from 63 balls, hitting four sixes and 13 fours.
Sri Lanka set a challenging target of 169 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs.
In reply, Scotland could only manage to score 101 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs.
Priyanaz Chatterji was the top scorer for Scotland, contributing 30 runs. However, despite her efforts, Scotland couldn't chase down the target.
