Siraj and Travis Head- (Source:@Johns/X.com)
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has officially heated up after Australia levelled the series 1-1 by handing India a 10-wicket defeat in the 2nd Test. It was a one-sided game, as the hosts dominated the game from day 1.
Besides the cricket, the Test match will be remembered for a long time because of Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj's verbal altercation. Notably, Head was the point of difference between the two teams and smashed 140. However, Siraj cleaned him up and gave him an angry send-off, to which Travis also responded by saying a few below-the-belt remarks.
In the latest events, the behaviour of two top players has not gone well with the ICC, and they both are set to be hit by heavy fines. Multiple reports, including by 'Daily Telegraph' and 'Code Sports', stated here that Siraj and Head were held guilty following a disciplinary hearing on Monday. However, both are likely to be only fined or reprimanded instead of facing a suspension due to their good past record.
Siraj And Head To Miss 3rd Test?
The ICC is yet to announce the extension of the fine, but the players can be assured of their participation in the 3rd Test. It would have been a blow for both teams if Head and Siraj were to miss the Brisbane Test. Talking about the upcoming match, it will start from December 14 at The Gabba.
After the match, both Siraj and Head sorted the matter and cleared the misunderstanding. They also shared a hug, but it won't save them from the fine that is set to come towards their way by the ICC.
