The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled nominees for the ICC Player of the Month award for the month of November 2025. South African spinner Simon Harmer, Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz and Bangladesh’s left-arm spinner Taijul Islam made it to the list for their exceptional performance throughout the month.
It is worth noting that Harmer played a key role in South Africa’s historic 2-0 Test series win on Indian soil. Nawaz, on the other hand, orchestrated Pakistan’s 3-0 ODI series win over Sri Lanka, a 2-1 win over South Africa, and a T20I tri-series win against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, all at home.

The ICC has picked a trio of standout performers, one each from South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan for the ICC Player of the Month award for the month of November 2025. From South Africa, the ICC named senior spinner Simon Harmer for his wicket-taking spree against India in Eden Gardens and Guwahati.
Harmer picked up 17 wickets across four innings of the two Tests as South Africa won the two-match series 2-0. The 36-year-old even won the ‘Player of the Series’ award for his exploits.
Mohammad Nawaz also made a cut into the list for demonstrating his all-round pedigree against South Africa, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The all-rounder started off the month with three wickets and a half-century in three ODIs to help Pakistan beat South Africa 2-1.
Nawaz also harvested 10 wickets in the T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, including a match-winning three-fer in the final to engineer Pakistan’s emphatic victory. Much like Simon Harmer, Mohammad Nawaz also capped the month with a ‘Player of the Series’ award, albeit in the T20I tri-series for scoring 52 runs and taking 10 wickets.
Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam bagged a ‘Player of the Series’ award for picking up 13 wickets in just two Tests against Ireland, leading his side to a 2-0 series sweep in Sylhet and Mirpur. He claimed twin four-fers in the decider.
With three specialist spinners making a cut among the nominees for the ICC Player of the Month award for the month of November 2025, it remains to be seen which of the three in-form cricketers will walk away with the honour.
