The former Pakistan captain, Shoaib Malik, who was playing for Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, has reportedly returned to Dubai following his participation in three matches.
Shoaib Malik's last match for Fortune Barishal was on January 23 against the Comilla Victorians, where he scored 7 runs and didn't bowl. His earlier performances saw him unbeaten in two matches.
Reports suggest that Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad may step in to replace Shoaib Malik in the Fortune Barishal squad for the remainder of the tournament. As of now, there's no confirmation of Malik's return to the team.
Recently, Shoaib Malik got roasted on social media for his wild over in the Bangladesh Premier League. The epic fail went down during the Fortune Barishal vs. Khulna Riders match on January 22 at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
Tamim Iqbal, the skipper of Barishal, took a gamble by bringing Malik bowl in the powerplay. but it turned out to be a disappointment as the Pakistan all-rounder bowled three no-balls, giving away 18 runs.
