Indian vice-captain Hardik Pandya will visit his hometown of Vadodara this evening after winning the T20 World Cup. This marks his first trip back since celebrating the victory with Team India.

Hardik was a key player in India’s T20 World Cup win, showcasing his all-round abilities and making crucial contributions throughout the tournament.

After missing a major portion of the 2023 ODI World Cup, including the final against Australia because of injury, he returned for the T20 World Cup and played a vital role in the final, successfully defending 16 runs and securing a 7-run win against South Africa.

Hardik returning home

Hardik Pandya announced on his Instagram account that he will be returning to his hometown today, saying, "See you this evening, Baroda."

Following the World Cup, Hardik returned to India with the team and participated in the celebration parade in Mumbai.

He also attended an Ambani wedding, where he danced and enjoyed the celebrations alongside other celebrities, bringing energy to the ceremony. Hardik is the captain of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, owned by the Ambani family.

The Indian all-rounder had a disappointing IPL season with the Mumbai Indians after transferring from the Gujarat Titans, as the team finished last in the standings and his performance was below expectations.

However, he turned his fortunes around in the T20 World Cup, scoring 144 runs in 6 innings with an average of 48 and a strike rate of 151.57. Additionally, he took 11 wickets, with his best performance coming in the final, where he claimed 3 wickets for just 20 runs.

After the World Cup he got a grand welcome at Wankhede as a part of redemption. Now Hardik will return to his home, Baroda and be a part of celebrations there.
