'What A Way To...': BCCI Secretary Jay Shah Congratulates Team India On Series Win Vs ZIM

India defeated Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I, with Shubman Gill leading the team to a cruising 10-wicket victory. Sikandar Raza played a key role for the hosts.

India had lost the first game but won the other three matches to seal the series 3-1, with a game to spare.

Jay Shah congratulates Team India

Following the series win BCCI secretary Jay Shah, congratulated the team through X post. Jay Shah wrote-


"What a way to clinch the T20I series! 🙌 Top stuff from our young guns! @ybj_19and @ShubmanGill were spectacular with the bat in the run chase. 🔥 Congratulations to the entire team and support staff on a fantastic series win. 🇮🇳 @BCCI|| #ZIMvIND

It was Shubman Gill who won the toss and let Zimbabwe bat first. Sikandar Raza scored 46 runs off 28 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 2 fours. Zimbabwe Opener Marumani contributed 32 runs off 31 balls, providing solid support to Raza.

In response, Yashasvi Jaiswal  who scored 53 balls 93 partnered with Shubman Gill, who scored 58 runs off 39 balls to lead the Indian chase.  Although Jaiswal fell short of completing his century, he was named the Man of the Match for his performance.  The pair made an opening partnership of 156 runs.

This marks the second-highest opening partnership for India in T20I run chases, with the top spot held by Jaiswal and Shubman Gill against the West Indies in Lauderhill in 2023.

The fifth and the final T20I takes place on Sunday, July 14.
