Security To Be Increased Amid Chaos At Barabati Stadium For India vs England 2nd ODI

In a significant development, special security arrangements will be made and strengthened in and around Barabati Stadium ahead of the second ODI between India and England, scheduled for February 9. The Officials have outlined a complete plan to ensure the match is conducted smoothly, with crowd management and safety maintained during the much-awaited match.

According to the reports by Sambad English, the Barabati Stadium witnessed terrible chaotic conditions on February 5. People gathered in huge numbers to get offline tickets for the match. The situation near the stadium worsened with a stampede-like situation that forced the local police to take measures. 

Special Security To Be Maintained For 2nd ODI

In order to maintain special security on match day, the officials conducted a high-level meeting on Tuesday (February 4). The high-profile meeting was attended by representatives from the district administration, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), police, health departments, and the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC). The meeting finalised security protocols, sanitation measures, and medical emergency important for the match.  

After the meeting was conducted the Deputy Commissioner of Police made a public statement and said that-  

“The entry and exit of people will be regulated through four designated gates, with personnel stationed to manage security and sanitation," Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jagmohan Meena, said. 

Sanitation Measures For 2nd ODI Between IND vs ENG 

It is important to mention that the other measure that will be taken for the second ODI between India and England will be maintaining hygiene and cleanliness. The CMC will also conduct beautification, sanitation, and fogging operations in the surrounding areas of the Barabati stadium.   

The other factor that will be organised is to maintain special bus services that will operate from Netaji Bus Terminus, Trishulia, and the railway station for easy transportation for spectators. 

With thousands of fans expected to attend the second ODI match between India and England, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a secure and hassle-free match day experience.
