Early on Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the rescheduling of the ongoing ODI series between Sri Lanka and the upcoming tri-nation T20I series consisting of hosts Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.

The developments followed after a horrific Islamabad blast took place on November 11, creating a situation of panic in the region as well as in the visiting team, Sri Lanka.

However, despite the terror threat, the PCB and SLC have agreed to continue the tour as planned with a slight tweak in schedules and venues. The second and third ODIs, originally scheduled for November 13 and 15, will now be played on November 14 and 16, respectively.

PAK T20I tri-series revised schedule

The upcoming tri-series, which was originally planned to begin on November 17, has been postponed by a day to November 18, with the opening match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The second T20I between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe has also been shifted to November 20 instead of November 18.

The rest of the dates, till the final fixture on November 29, remain unchanged. However, one significant development is that all the games will now be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Matches from November 22 to November 29 were scheduled to be played at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. However, looking at safety measures, PCB has decided to shift the venues and play all the tri-series games at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
