Scotland Women will be up against the challenge of Ireland Women in the first fixture of the three-match T20I series on Monday (5 September) at Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh.
Scotland last featured in the Commonwealth Games Qualifier in January this year, and managed to taste success in only two out of four league matches. The all-rounder Kathryn Bryce will lead the Scottish team.
Ireland are coming into this series by completing a clean sweep over Netherlands in the 50-over format. Along with the captain Laura Delany, the likes of Leah Paul and Cara Murray have been in top form.
The last T20I series between both nations in 2021 witnessed Ireland registered a thumping 3-1 victory. It will be interesting to see if Scotland can produce a fightback this time.
