On Friday, May 16, Rohit Sharma was felicitated by MCA and a new stand by his name was inaugurated at the Wankhede Cricket Stadium. Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the event with Rohit Sharma's family in attendance too.
Rohit Sharma's Moment Of Mischief Before Stand Inauguration
Overall, the ceremony was a tribute to Rohit Sharma's great exploits on the cricket field. However, there was one moment before the start of the event where Rohit did lose his cool for a moment, it was nothing serious, but just a word of caution by Rohit Sharma. It is not clear who Rohit Sharma was talking to and about whom, but in a video going viral on social media, the legendary batter is not looking happy.
He was walking down the stairs of Wankhede with his wife Ritika Sajdeh behind him and said in Hindi, "Sath me rakh in inko, tu apne saath me rakh na inko." He was probably telling someone to take care of his kids or parents. It was typical Rohit Sharma who does not back off from showing his emotions both on and off the field.

Along with inauguration of Rohit Sharma's stand, the Ajit Wadekar and Sharad Pawar stand was also inaugurated. Rohit Sharma shared a special message in his speech and called it a very special feeling to see a stand named after him. The Hitman has recently retired from Test cricket, and will now be seen only playing ODIs for India.
He is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL, and after the suspension of the league, it is set to resume on May 17. Mumbai Indians have two matches left with 14 points in their kitty, and have a good chance of making it to the playoffs again.
