Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma won the CEAT Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2024 award on Wednesday, August 21. The award ceremony took place in Mumbai, where a number of global cricketers were recognized for their excellence.

Rohit Sharma was declared the CEAT Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2024 at the CEAT awards ceremony in Mumbai on Wednesday, August 21. The legendary Indian captain recently led his team to a historic 2024 T20 World Cup win in the West Indies.

Moreover, Sharma also led India to 10 successive victories at the 2023 World Cup last year before losing the final to Australia. The Indian opening batter was handed the prestigious award by BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Rohit Sharma’s Indian teammates Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami also claimed huge honors at the ceremony. While Kohli bagged the CEAT ODI Batter of the Year award, Shami claimed the ODI Bowler of the Year memento. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravichandran Ashwin seized the batting and bowling awards in the Test category, while Phil Salt and New Zealand speedster Tim Southee took home the T20I honors.

Rohit Sharma recently led the Indian cricket team in a three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka. He is currently enjoying a brief break from competitive cricket, before he returns to the field for India’s upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
