While Rohit Sharma has been ruling hearts with his glorious 155-run knock on his Vijay Hazare trophy comeback for Mumbai, a recent video on social media went viral that saw the ex-India skipper interact with a small fan.

The video doing rounds on the internet saw Rohit Sharma’s cute interaction with a small boy who jogged into the field during the post-match presentation ceremony of the Mumbai vs Sikkim VHT clash.

As Rohit Sharma was walking up to the post-presentation stage, a small boy ran into the field with a white Test jersey with No. 18, Kohli written on it. As the kid went up to Rohit Sharma with his baby steps, he attempted to bow down to touch his feet and get blessings.

However, the ‘Mumbai cha Raja’, humble as ever, stopped the Virat Kohli fan in a loving gesture and later hugged him before sending him out of the field.

The video quickly went viral on social media as the cute interaction on the field stole the hearts of fans after the 38-year-old’s on-field heroics.

Rohit blitzkrieg in VHT stuns Sikkim

Notably, Rohit Sharma played a blitzkrieg innings to chase Sikkim’s 237-run target during the VHT clash. The Indian maestro opened the chase and accelerated the innings with his quick boundaries and towering sixes with partners Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Musheer Ahmed Khan.

Except for batting, Rohit Sharma was quick and athletic on the field too, where he also had to hear chants of Rohit bhai ko bowling do from an over-energetic crowd of over 12,000+ people in Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

For the unaware, Rohit Sharma will be next seen performing in VHT for Mumbai in their second Elite Group C match against Uttarakhand on December 26.
