The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is on the cusp of equalling Virat Kohli's staggering record in the T20I format.
The much-awaited clash of the arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take place on Sunday (28 August) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This mouth-watering encounter will also have something to offer Sharma, as a personal milestone.
If the Indian team manages to secure a victory against Pakistan, Hitman will level with Kohli's captaincy feat.
Under Kohli's leadership, India registered 30 wins in 50 T20I games from 2017 to 2021. So far, Sharma has secured 29 victories in 35 games, with a prolific winning percentage of 82.85%.
With a total tally of 30 victories under his belt, the 35-year-old will become the second most successful Indian captain in the shortest format.
