Board of Control for Cricket in India on Friday (26 August) announced the squads and schedule for the Duleep Trophy 2022-23.
The venues like Chennai, Pondicherry, Salem and Coimbatore will be the host of the tournament from 8 to 25 September.
Ajinkya Rahane will be making a comeback in the domestic circuit to lead the West Zone, which will have the presence of key India stars like Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur.
UP's Karan Sharma will be the skipper of Central Zone, with Ranji Trophy 2022 Final centurion Shubham Sharma as the vice-captain.
Hanuma Vihari will don the leadership role for South Zone, with Mayank Agarwal acting as his deputy. The veteran Bengal batter Manoj Tiwari will be the captain for East Zone, while Jharkhand's Virat Singh will be the vice-captain.
Mandeep Singh and Dhruv Shorey are the captain and vice-captain respectively for North Zone. The team will contain the skilful bowlers like Navdeep Saini and Siddharth Kaul.
Sikkim's Ashish Thapa will be the leader of the North-east Zone.
