The first batch of India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 landed in New York City on Sunday morning. The players—including captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Suryakumar Yadav—took a long flight from Mumbai to Dubai before eventually arriving in NYC.

Meanwhile, the second batch will include Hardik Pandya, who is currently in the United Kingdom for personal reasons. Rajasthan Royals' players Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Avesh Khan—who played Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday—will fly on May 30.

Virat Kohli has asked for a cool-off period from BCCI after playing the Eliminator clash against RR. The former Indian captain will also be a part of India's second batch.

It is worth mentioning the Indian players - who haven't reached America yet - will likely not play the warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1.

The upcoming T20 World Cup will be a golden opportunity for India to break their exile of 11 years to win an ICC event, as the slower conditions in the Carribean Island will favour Asian teams, especially the Men in Blue.
