Kane Williamson returns to DSG for SA20 2025-26
The Durban’s Super Giants (DSG) franchise has called back Kane Williamson as a replacement for Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam for the upcoming SA20 2025-26 season in South Africa.
Williamson also represented the DSG franchise in SA20 2025 earlier this year, before he was released by the team management. In eight matches of the tournament, the legendary New Zealand batter aggregated 233 runs in seven innings at a prolific average of 46.60 and at a strike rate of nearly 120.

Legendary Indian opener Rohit Sharma has resumed his training in lieu of the upcoming home ODI series against the visiting South African team. The former Indian captain was spotted at the Mumbai Cricket Association ground in BKC, sweating it out in the nets in the early morning.
Rohit Sharma recently returned from a prolific ODI tour of Australia, where he punched out a fighting 50 and a match-winning century against the hosts. The ODI series against South Africa, meanwhile, is scheduled to commence from November 30 onwards later this month.
Rishabh Pant smacks 54-ball 65 vs SA A amidst pain
Battling amidst pain from the repeated body blows, comeback man and India A captain Rishabh Pant plundered 65 quick runs from just 54 balls on Day 3 of their second unofficial four-day match against South Africa A in Bengaluru.
The blistering wicketkeeper-batter belted five fours and four huge sixes in his whirlwind innings to push India A’s total to 382-7d in just 89.2 overs, thus setting up a monumental 417-run target for the visitors. Dhruv Jurel also notched up a century, his second of the match, before South Africa A reached 25-0 by stumps.
Richa Ghosh, Uma Chetry felicitated for World Cup 2025 heroics
Blistering middle-order batter Richa Ghosh and wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry were felicitated by their state governments for winning the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup earlier this month.
While Ghosh was felicitated by The Siliguri Municipal Corporation in West Bengal, Chetry received accolades from Assam’s Minister of Sports & Youth Welfare, Nandita Gorlosa.

Abhishek Sharma completes 1,000 runs as India wins T20I series
Attacking Indian opener Abhishek Sharma blasted 23* off just 13 balls with a boundary and a six against Australia in Brisbane in the series-deciding fifth T20I.
Through the course of his whirlwind knock, young Abhishek also completed 1,000 runs in his T20I career, doing so in just 28 T20I innings.
While his current average marks a prolific 37.48, he holds an astonishing batting strike rate of 189.51 in the format. Notably, Abhishek Sharma also became the second fastest Indian batter, in terms of innings, to complete 1,000 runs after former cricketer Virat Kohli.
