With the Champions Trophy final set to commence on Sunday, March 9, Team India have gotten a sigh of relief as New Zealand's biggest trump card and India's biggest threat, Matt Henry is unlikely to feature in the final due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the semis Vs South Africa.

Henry hurt his shoulder while taking the catch of Heinrich Klaasen in the semi finals, and the bowler looked in some discomfort, but returned to bowl two overs later in the match. Mitch Santner stated that he might be fit for the finale against India, but now, coach Gary Stead has provided the medical update which doesn't look promising.

"I guess the positive thing from our perspective is he got back out there to bowl," Stead said. "We've had some scans and stuff done on him, and we're going to give him every chance to be playing in this match. "[But it's] still a little bit unknown at this stage," NZ coach stated.

Henry has been NZ's best bowler in the tournament

Matt Henry has been New Zealand's best bowler in the ongoing Champions Trophy. The right-arm speedster has scalped 10 wickets at 16.70 and was the danger man for India heading into the finale.

He has the knack of picking wickets at the top and with Henry unlikely to play, that threat could be gone.

Who will replace Henry?

In case Henry gets ruled out, New Zealand have Jacob Duffy in their arsenal. The fast bowler hasn't featured in the 4 matches of the Champions Trophy but could be a surprise call-up to replace the injured pacer.
