In a significant development, Bangladesh's wily bowling duo of Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana received immigration clearance only a few hours before the first T20I against UAE at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. As a result, both of these players have been cleared to play the inaugural game of the two-match series.
Rishad Hossain, Nahid Rana Cleared To Play 1st T20I vs UAE
It's worth mentioning that Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana, Bangladesh's two PSL-bound players, flew to the UAE on May 14 morning. However, they had some visa complications; and, as a result, they had to stay at an airport hotel.
However, in a positive development for the Tigers, both these players finally received the immigration clearance, eventually joining their teammates on Saturday morning. So, they are available for selection for the series opener against the hosts tonight.
"They joined the side yesterday. In the UAE, the immigration department doesn't reveal what the real problem is. They were at the airport hotel for one night. Both of them are available for today's match," Bangladesh Cricket Board's cricket operations in-charge Shahriar Nafees was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.
Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana recently left Pakistan midway during the PSL amid the South Asian country's border conflict with India.
