In a shocking revelation, a 28-year old man from Bengaluru has been scammed of Rs. 3 lakh in his quest to purchase tickets for the upcoming Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Chennai Super Kings game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The much-awaited game is set to take place on 18 May (Saturday) and a lot of rumors are going around that it could potentially be MS Dhoni's last IPL game if RCB successfully defeats them, thereby fans are going beserk to witness the match.

As per TOI reports, the man was searching for tickets of the game when he stumbled upon an Instagram account called ‘ipl_2024_tickets_24’. The excited Bengaluru man started a conversation with the man who introduced himself as an official person designated to sell IPL tickets, Padma Sinha Vijay Kumar.

In order to verify this, he sent his Aadhar Card along with mobile number for verification and priced the tickets at Rs. 2,300 each.

After sending the payment of Rs 7900 for three tickets, the victim did not receive the e-tickets and the accused, Padma Sinha told him that it was a technical glitch and asked him to send another 67,000 rs.

The victim repeatedly sent him money as he was promised to get a refund, however after losing 3 lakhs he decided to approach the police as the scamster was asking for more money.
