RCB, one of the most popular franchise in IPL has changed its name from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The city officially is known by the name of Bengaluru while the Bangalore name was a colonial product.

They have made a big change at the RCB unbox event at M. Chinnaswamy ahead of IPL 2024 and would be hoping that the change of name also changes their fortunes in Indian Premier League.

In a mega event arranged ahead of IPL 2024, RCB have made a flurry of changes which include change in their logo, jersey along with the name. Also, they have inducted Vinay Kumar in their hall of fame alongside the greats like Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers.

The news of a change of name has been surfacing for quite a few days now, and it's apt that they have decided to do so in front of a jam-packed M. Chinnaswamy and in the presence of all their superstars.

The RCB Women team that won the second edition of WPL recently also were felicitated in the event with the men's team giving them a guard of honour.

Now, with these big changes, all loyal RCB fans would be hoping that they bring home the first IPL in the 17th edition of IPL.
