The long wait for Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s maiden IPL trophy finally came to an end as they triumphed over Punjab Kings on Tuesday in Ahmedabad, clinching their first-ever title in history. It was a moment of immense pride and emotion for the franchise and its loyal fanbase, who had waited for years to witness this historic achievement.

Joyful scenes broke out across the country and beyond, as fans and players alike celebrated what was a long due dream to get hands on the IPL glory. They extended condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the injured, urging fans to stay safe.

"We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us. RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extends our heartfelt condolences to the affected families,” the official release said.

While RCB’s triumph marks a significant milestone in their history, the tragic incident has put a denting shadow over the celebrations, reminding everyone of the fragility of joy amid overwhelming crowds and emotions which can even lead to such unprecedented loss of lives.
