The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise has decided to refund the money collected from fans from their 2024 Unbox event. The annual RCB Unbox function was recently staged at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 19.

A legion of fans attended the venue to grace the event, while several others viewed the proceedings through live streaming on the RCB app. While the fans were charged Rs.99 to view the Unbox event via streaming, the telecast itself faced technical difficulties owing to its “extreme demand”.

On March 21, i.e., a couple of days after the annual Unbox event in Bengaluru, the RCB franchise issued an update of refunding back the money to the fans who viewed the proceedings via live streaming.

In an official update, the RCB franchise acknowledged the ‘technical issues’ faced by fans during the streaming, and assured them of a ‘seamless’ experience going ahead.

The highlights of the RCB Unbox 2024 event remains the jersey reveal of the men’s team for the forthcoming IPL 2024 season. Moreover, the franchise also felicitated the Smriti Mandhana-led RCB Women’s team for lifting the WPL 2024 title earlier this week in Delhi.

Former RCB fast bowler Vinay Kumar was inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’ of the franchise, thus becoming only the first Indian cricketer and third overall after Chris Gayle and AB De Villiers to receive the prestigious honor.

As of now, the RCB fans can look forward to their men’s team in action, as they are scheduled to face defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of the IPL 2024 season. The much-awaited contest will be staged in Chennai on March 22.
