Experienced Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is on the verge of completing 300 wickets in Test cricket. The talismanic spinner could attain the illustrious feat during India's ongoing second Test match against Bangladesh at Green Park in Kanpur.

After making his Test debut for India in 2012, Jadeja gradually established himself as India's first-choice all-rounder in the purest format. He oozed his class with bat and ball in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, playing an instrumental role in India's clinical win.

Furthermore, the left-arm spinner could enter the 300-wicket club if he adds one more scalp to his tally in the Kanpur Test. If he achieves this feat, Jadeja can join several legends with at least 300 wickets and 3000 runs in the purest format.

Players With 300 Wickets And 3000 Runs In Tests

Only ten cricketers have unlocked the aforementioned milestone in Test cricket. Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin are the only two Indians on this list, and, Jadeja can join them if he gets a wicket on day 2 of the Kanpur Test.

IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Day 1 Gets Abandoned Due To Rain

Meanwhile, the first day of the second Test between India and Bangladesh was abandoned midway due to a persistent downpour. The game had a delayed start thanks to the inclement weather conditions at the venue. Although the sun came out for a brief period, rain returned to play spoilsport during the post-lunch session. As a result, the umpires had to call off the rest of the day's play, with Bangladesh finishing the day at 107 for three in their first innings.
