As India vs England Test series unfolds, Indian spin maestro Ravichandran Ashwin finds himself on the brink of scripting history with the potential to break several records during the upcoming Vizag Test match.

Indian spin wizard Ashwin's mastery of the ball and his ability to deliver under pressure could see him leave an indelible mark on the rich history of Indian Test cricket and further cement his legacy as one of the all-time greats of the game.

He is set to feature in the upcoming second Test against England in Vizag and is poised to make history as three all-time high records await at his doorstep.

Besides the 500 wickets scalp, Ashwin could script three more records to his name in Vizag. Ashwin is currently two wickets short of becoming the leading wicket-taker for India in a Test against England. Bhagwath Chandrasekhar previously held the record with 95 wickets in 23 games whereas Ashwin has 94 dismissals to his name in 20 Tests.

Additionally, Ravi Ashwin is six wickets away from becoming the first Indian bowler to scalp 100 wickets in India vs England Tests. He could also be the second bowler to achieve the feat overall as James Anderson was the first to breach the milestone.

Last but not least, Ravi Ashwin could become the second-fastest bowler to breach the 500 wickets milestone. He is four wickets away from the ultimate figure. Previously Anil Kumble achieved the feat in 105 Tests and Ashwin stands a chance to surpass the former Indian legend in Vizag.

Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan currently holds the record for the fastest bowler to breach the 500 Test wickets milestone as he achieved the feat in a mere 87 matches.

Having said that, as Ravichandran Ashwin takes to the field in the Vizag Test against England, the cricketing world eagerly anticipates witnessing history in the making.
