Hasan Nawaz capped a memorable ODI debut for himself by steering Pakistan to a clutch five-wicket win over West Indies in the first match of the series in Tarouba. After Shaheen Afridi’s four-fer and Naseem Shah’s three-wicket haul folded up West Indies for 280 in 49 overs, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan compiled 53 off 69 balls with four boundaries. However, it was middle-order batters Hasan Nawaz (63* off 54) and Hussain Talat (41* off 37) who sealed the deal for Pakistan during the tense overs with their unbroken 104-run partnership.
Foulkes-Starrer NZ Record Test Cricket’s Third Biggest Innings Win
New Zealand walloped Zimbabwe by an innings and 359 runs to record Test cricket’s third biggest win margin by an innings. After declaring the innings at the overnight score of 601-3d with a lead of 476 runs, New Zealand fast bowlers ran through Zimbabwe’s entire batting line-up in just 28.1 overs. Zakary Foulkes picked up a sizzling five-fer to complete nine wickets for the match. Matt Henry and Jacob Duffy also chipped in with two wickets each as the ‘Black Caps’ completed a 2-0 sweep over Zimbabwe in the two-match Test series.
Matt Henry Replaces Chris Woakes In Welsh Fire For The Hundred
New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry will be replacing English quick Chris Woakes in the Welsh Fire line-up for the upcoming Men’s The Hundred 2025 season. Woakes was recently ruled out of competitive cricket for a while after sustaining a shoulder injury against Team India.
Matt Henry recently starred in New Zealand’s comprehensive 2-0 Test series win over Zimbabwe, picking up 16 wickets in four innings to bag the ‘Player of the Series’ award. Henry also played a few matches for Welsh Fire in the last two editions of The Hundred.

Senior English batter Jos Buttler failed to go big for the Manchester Originals franchise for the second time in succession this Hundred 2025 season. The seasoned campaigner was dismissed for a four-ball duck by Jason Behrendorff in match number five of the tournament, after scoring just 22 off 18 in his previous game a couple of days ago.
Rashid Khan, on the other hand, made the most of his newfound momentum by picking up yet another three-wicket haul for his team.
