ICC World Cup 2023 Commentary Panel Announced; 6 Indians, 2 Pakistanis Named

The 2023 edition of the ICC ODI World Cup is now around the corner. This will be the 13th edition of the prestigious tournament and the first time ever that the quadrennial event will be held solely in India.

The tournament’s opening match will see the reigning champions England and the runner-up New Zealand locking horns with each other. This much-anticipated clash will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

This year's World Cup will feature a total of 10 teams. It's important to mention that this edition marks the first time the tournament is being held without the inaugural champions, West Indies, who did not qualify for the event. 

In the run-up to the highly anticipated tournament, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the commentary team for the event. This esteemed panel will feature renowned figures such as Ravi Shastri, Ian Bishop, Nasser Hussain, Sunil Gavaskar, and several other cricket legends, who will be the voices of the tournament.

Ravi Shastri, Ian Smith, Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop, Ricky Ponting, Mark Nicholas, Eoin Morgan, Harsha Bhogle, Shane Watson, Lisa Sthalekar, Ramiz Raja, Aaron Finch, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Shaun Pollock, Anjum Chopra, Waqar Younis, Michael Atherton, Simon Doull, Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Sanjay Manjrekar, Katey Martin, Dinesh Karthik, Dirk Nannes, Samuel Badree, Athar Ali Khan, Russel Arnold, Natalie Germanos, Mark Howard and Ian Ward. 

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.
