Multan Sultans' powerhouse batter, Usman Khan, has left cricket fans in awe with his remarkable display in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. The 28-year-old right-handed batter has marked his name in PSL history by smashing two centuries in a single edition, a feat unmatched before.

In the latest match against Islamabad United, held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Usman showcased his remarkable display of batting by hammering a breathtaking hundred, propelling his team to an impressive total of 228 runs.

This remarkable inning, characterized by 15 boundaries and three towering sixes, highlights Usman's exceptional talent and ability to accelerate the scoring rate with a staggering strike rate of 200.

Usman's outstanding performance in the PSL has garnered widespread attention, particularly his ability to deliver consistently impactful innings. Notably, he previously showcased his dominance with the bat by scoring a century against Karachi Kings at the National Bank Stadium.

With this latest century, Usman's tally now stands at three centuries in just 14 innings in the PSL, a record he shares with former Peshawar Zalmi star, Kamran Akmal.

Furthermore, Usman holds the record for the fastest century in the league, achieved in PSL 2023 when he smashed a blistering 36-ball ton against Quetta Gladiators.

Despite his remarkable achievements on the field, Usman Khan's hopes of representing the Pakistan national team have been dashed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selectors have confirmed that due to Usman's relocation to the UAE, he is no longer eligible for national team selection. Consequently, he will not be considered for the upcoming series against New Zealand.

Additionally, the PCB is set to announce a 25-player squad for the national team camp, which will commence on March 25 at Abbottabad's Kakul Academy in preparation for the New Zealand series.

The New Zealand team is expected to arrive in Pakistan on April 14, with three matches scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi Stadium and two matches in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
