Gautam Gambhir's Message For Hockey Team
On Thursday, August 8, the Indian hockey team scripted history as they won their second straight bronze medal in the Olympics. The Harmanpreet Singh-led side beat Spain 2-1 in the bronze medal match.
It was a special match for the Indian side, as their star goalkeeper Shreejesh featured in his last international game and bid adieu to the game after 18 years.

Meanwhile, several renowned figures across the globe and professions took to social media platforms to hail the Indian hockey team for their win. The Indian cricket team's head coach Gautam Gambhir also praised Shreejesh's legacy.
“Hockey is an emotion” जय हिन्द! A perfect farewell to our champion #Shreejesh! Brilliant Bronze," wrote Gambhir.
Talking about Gambhir, he has had a mixed start to his campaign as India's head coach, as India registered a 3-0 win in the T20Is, but lost 0-2 in the ODI series. It was their first bilateral defeat against the Island Nation in 27 years.
Not just Gambhir but former head coach Ravi Shastri too congratulated the Indian hockey team for their feat.
