Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is pondering a hefty fine to be imposed on cricketers part of the senior national side showing indiscipline in their conduct during international assignments, stated a report in Pakistan-based 'Geo News'.

The PCB could be imposing a fine worth $500 for players who are seen skipping practice sessions, being late to the ground or even sleeping during match hours inside the dressing room.

No naps will be allowed even for players sitting on the bench inside the dressing room as the Pakistan regime now wishes to monitor the player behaviour and scrutinise and penalise those who falter on the code of conduct front.

PCB To Penalise Lack Of Discipline

Pakistan had infamously axed two cricketers Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad for indiscipline as a major cause of underperformance back in time at the behest of then then coach Waqar Younis.

Now, with former skipper Mohammad Hafeez donning the coach and director of cricket's hat and being keen to revive the team's fortunes, the PCB could soon reestablish stronger disciplinary rules and create a culture of solid behaviour and overall conduct.

"The players have been warned and informed about the development. It is done on the instructions of Team Director Mohammad Hafeez," a source privy to the developments told Geo News.

According to the report, several Pakistani players were observed sleeping inside the dressing room during recent times. But the new management is understood to have informed the entire squad that no such act will be allowed anymore.

Players found guilty of breaching the regulations will be served a hefty fine of 500 dollars from their match fees and the support staff, including Hafeez and bowling coaches Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal and the team manager, will be responsible for ensuring no violation takes place.
