PCB Takes Disciplinary Action Against Women Players For Curfew Breach Resulting In Road Accident

Two players of the Pakistan women's cricket team sustained injuries in a road accident after few players breaching the night curfew. The incident occurred earlier this month, while the team was in a training camp  in Karachi ahead of the ongoing white-ball series against West Indies. 

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced in a press conference that happened today that serious action would be taken against the players who violated the rules.

“What they did was wrong and as a result we have now appointed a full-time senior rank security police officer to be with the team round the clock and enforce proper timings"-Naqvi said in the press conference. 

During the training camp held in Karachi from April 2nd to 8th, some Pakistan women's cricket team players breached curfew on April 5th, leading to an accident

Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima were among the injured players. 

Pak Women lost the first T20I vs West Indies 

Following a series of setbacks, including a 3-0 loss to West Indies at home in the ODI series and a narrow  1 run defeat in the first T20I, the Pakistan women's cricket team is facing tough times. 

Chasing 123, Pakistan ended their innings with 121-8. Pakistan needed 2 runs to win in the final ball but Tuba Hassan was made run out in the last ball.

Despite the challenges, Nida Dar led Pakistan will take on West Indies in the second T20I tonight at 8 pm in Karachi.
