On October 27, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that the Islamabad Club will host a five-match series featuring Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Pakistan Shaheens this November. This marks the first tour for Sri Lanka ‘A’ to Pakistan, and they will be playing a mix of formats: two four-day matches and a three-match one-day series.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ is set to arrive in Islamabad on November 7. They will have three days to prepare before kicking off the action with their first four-day match against Pakistan Shaheens on November 11. The matches are scheduled to run from November 11 to 21, followed by a series of three 50-over games on November 25, 27, and 29.

For the four-day matches, the toss will be held at 9 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), with the first ball bowled at 9:30 AM PKT. The 50-over matches will be played as day-night games and will start with the toss at 1:30 PM PKT and the first ball at 2 PM PKT.

The PCB is committed to nurturing young talent, and this series is part of their efforts to develop the next generation of players. The Pakistan Shaheens recently hosted Bangladesh ‘A’ for a similar series in August, and this will be their second home series within three months. Besides the local matches, the Shaheens have also participated in international competitions, including two four-day games in Australia and the recent ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Asia Cup held in Muscat.
