The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025–26 auction is all set to take place in Dhaka on November 30. Notably, ahead of the event, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has placed players into five categories, A, B, C, D and E, with a total of 245 overseas cricketers available for selection. 

This year’s tournament will feature only six teams, reduced from seven, with Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders remaining from the previous edition. Chattogram, Rajshahi and Sylhet franchises have undergone ownership changes, resulting in the introduction of Chattogram Royals, Rajshahi Warriors and Sylhet Titans. 

It is also important to note that defending champions Fortune Barishal and Khulna Tigers will not take part this season. While the BCB has confirmed the participating teams, it has not yet released details regarding the new ownership groups.
