In a recent development, Pakistan's women's cricket team has named a 15-member squad for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025. The Women's National Selection Committee has decided on the names for the tournament, which will take place from 30 September to 2 November.
Notably, the same squad will also play a three-match ODI series against South Africa Women, which is scheduled from 16 to 22 September.
Fatima Sana To Lead Pakistan Women
The 15-member squad sees Fatima Sana as the captain and Muneeba Ali Siddiqui as the vice-captain. Veterans like Diana Baig is also present to mix with the novices and notch up the strength of the team. Uncapped batter Eyman Fatima, who last featured in a T20 match against Ireland, is also part of the ODI squad.

Looking at the squad, two changes have been made. From ICC Women's CWC Qualifier, Eyman and Sadaf come in the squad to replace Gul Feroza and Najeeha Alvi, who were named in the 5-member non-travelling reserves.
The prep of the tournament for the Pakistan Women will begin with the pre-South Africa series camp from 29th August. The team will kick off the Women's CWC tournament on 2nd October against Bangladesh, with a match scheduled against India Women on 5th October. They will end the group stage with a match against Sri Lanka on 24th October.
