After a successful first season, Delhi Premier League (DPL) is back with Season 2, and one of the newest teams, Outer Delhi Warriors, is making headlines with a powerful move. To prepare for a strong debut, the team has brought on board former India cricketer Parthiv Patel as their team mentor and campaign guide.

Parthiv Patel, known for his long and impressive career as a wicketkeeper-batsman for India, will now help guide the young team both on and off the field. He will support the players with training, strategy, and experience to ensure the team is ready to compete at a high level.

Parthiv Patel Opens Up On His New Role

Speaking about his new role, Parthiv said as quoted by NewsMill

“The Outer Delhi Warriors Franchise has a lot of young T20 bowling superstars and Delhi’s best all-rounders, which we need to rely upon very strategically. Our preparation and head coach’s assistance for our debut would be to provide a strong background and training that can translate well on the field.”

Parthiv made his debut for India at just 17, and from there, he went on to build a cricket career that lasted nearly two decades. Over the years, the 40-year-old represented India in 25 Test matches, 38 ODIs, and 2 T20Is.

Now, as he moves into a new phase of his journey, he is ready to share his experience with the next generation of players.

In addition to offering guidance to the team, Parthiv will work closely with top young players like Priyansh Arya, Suyash Sharma, and Harsh Tyagi, helping them polish their T20 skills and grow as players.

The second season of the Delhi Premier League is set to begin in the second week of August, right after India’s Test series in England wraps up. The tournament will run through late August to early September.

With Parthiv Patel’s experience and leadership, Outer Delhi Warriors are hoping to make a strong debut and become a top contender in this year’s DPL.
