The Day 2 of the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh is all set to start 15 minutes earlier that the original scheduled start time. The Test matches in Pakistan normally start at 10 AM local time and 10:30 AM IST, but with plenty of overs lost on the first day of the match, the officials have decided to start the Day 2 bit earlier to make up for the lost time.

On Day 1 of the first Test, only 41 overs were bowled with match starting at 2:30 PM Local time due to rain and wet outfield. Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first in overcast conditions, and got early breakthroughs as well with Pakistan reduced to 16-3 in the ninth over.

Saim Ayub And Saud Shakeel Stand Firm For Pakistan

It was the duo of Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel that stepped up for Pakistan after early blows, and stitched together a 98-run stand. Ayub departed after his fifty, but Saud Shakeel kept going with Mohammad Rizwan.

At the end of Day 1, Pakistan have finished at 158-4 and would be looking to put a strong batting performance in the opening session of Day 2.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, would be looking to get into Pakistan's tail as early as possible with some quick wickets in the morning session. The pitch also has some help for the bowlers and Bangladesh might find difficult to come back in the game if Pakistan get over 300 in the first innings.
