In a significant development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20I Tri-Series with Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. The Tri-Series comprises seven matches, including the final and will be played in November this year. 

Pakistan To Face Afghanistan, Sri Lanka In Tri-Series At Home

On Sunday afternoon, the PCB officially released the fixtures of Pakistan's upcoming T20I Tri-Nation series against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. The much-anticipated tournament will kick off on November 17, with the final game scheduled for the 29th of the month. 

While the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the first two matches, the remaining five games, including the final, will be played at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. 

“We look forward to hosting Sri Lanka and Afghanistan for Pakistan’s maiden T20I tri-series. This event will not only offer excellent preparation for next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, but also present fans with exciting cricket across venues," Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed was quoted as saying by the PCB. 

“Earlier this year, PCB successfully delivered the ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier. These achievements underline our capacity and readiness to host back-to-back international events at the highest level," he added.

1st T20I: Pakistan vs Afghanistan, Rawalpindi, November 17

2nd T20I: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Rawalpindi, November 19

3rd T20I: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Lahore, November 22

4th T20I: Pakistan vs Afghanistan, Lahore, November 23

5th T20I: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Lahore, November 25

6th T20I: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Lahore, November 27

Final: TBD vs TBD, Lahore, November 29

The Tri-Series will help the participating teams prepare for next year's T20 World Cup. Talking about Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Asian rivals are set to clash in the final of the ongoing T20I Tri-Series in the UAE. Both teams have showcased remarkable form, setting the stage for a cracking final at Sharjah Cricket Ground.
