In a remarkable achievement, veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza registered the best-ever bowling figures by a Zimbabwe player against Sri Lanka in T20 Internationals. The experienced campaigner attained the landmark in the ongoing encounter between the two sides at Harare Sports Club.

Sikandar Raza's Exploits Leave Sri Lanka Shell-Shocked

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Zimbabwe never allowed the Lankans to settle in the middle. While Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans triggered the visitors' top-order, Sikandar Raza ran through their lineup with a clinical three-wicket haul.

The right-arm spinner oozed his class with the ball, getting the prized scalps of Kamindu Mendis and his Lankan counterpart, Charith Asalanka, before bamboozling Dushmantha Chameera. He finished his spell with excellent figures of three for 11 in four overs, thereby recording the best-ever bowling performance by a Zimbabwean against Sri Lanka in T20Is.

Sri Lanka Register Their 2nd Lowest T20I Total

The sensational bowling spells from Evans and Raza ensured Sri Lanka couldn't breach the 100-run mark in the second T20I against Zimbabwe. The visitors registered their lowest-ever score against the Chevrons, while also bringing up their second lowest team total in the shortest format.

Kamil Mishara top-scored for the Lankans, contributing 20 runs to their total. Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka were the only other batters to breach the two-figure mark. As of writing, Zimbabwe were 1 for no loss in 0.2 overs.
