After a convincing win in the second Test match at Multan, the caravan shifts towards the series decider as Pakistan take on England from the Rawalpindi Stadium. The series is evenly poised at 1:1, as the series decider looms large.

The first two Tests were played in Multan, but interestingly, the two Tests had contrasting pitches. The first game of the series saw a flat track dished out, which was a batting paradise as Pakistan scored in excess of 550-runs in their first innings and England responded by scoring 823 runs, which included a double ton and a triple ton.

However, for the second Test, Pakistan decided to drop in their key players and changed the pitch style as well. A spin track was laid and England were trapped in it. The English batters had no answer at all as they crumbled under the spin pressure and lost the match by 152 runs.

Now, with the success of a spin surface, there are reports circulating that Pakistan are once again preparing a spin pitch to nullify the English batting. This means, that Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali will once have important roles to play.

Sajid-Nauman destroyed English batters in Multan Test

Sajid and Nauman became the chief destroyers with the ball as they made the English batters dance to their tunes. The duo scalped all 10 wickets in the second innings as England failed to chase down the total in the second Test.

While Sajid finished the game with 9-wickets, Nauman, another brilliant bowler ended the match with 11 wickets as Pakistan won their first Test at home since 2021.

Pakistan cricket will hope that the duo can recreate the same performance when the third Test commences on October 24.
