Pakistan team is currently in Australia for the ODI series and the tour has not started well for the Men in Green as they lost the opening match by two wickets. Their bowlers did well on the spicy MCG pitch, but their batters faltered against pace and bounce, and that is something they need to work on ahead of the second ODI.

However, T20I players seem to have already taken their lesson and have started practicing on Marble surface to get used to the extra bounce in Pakistan. The duo of Omair bin Yousuf and Usman Khan decided to use the novel technique in their practice session at the National Stadium, Karachi. Both have been selected in T20Is and would travel to Australia soon for the T20I series with first game to be played on 14th of November.
Usman Khan after his practice also revealed that they realised that they would have to adapt quickly to conditions in Australia. So, practicing on the marble surfaces would help them improve their timing and master shots like cut and pull.
“After watching our performance in the first ODI, we realized we needed to adapt to Australia’s high bounce,” he said. “Practicing on marble helps us become more proficient at fast pitches by improving our timing and mastering shots like pull and cut."
As far as ODI series is concerned, Pakistan need to win the second ODI to keep the series alive and it will be played at the Adelaide Oval on November 8.
