Pakistan National T20 Cup 2022: Balochistan & Central Punjab pick sensational wins over Northern and Sindh

The Pakistan National T20 Cup 2022 juggernaut continues to roll as Northern and Central Punjab bumped heads against Balochistan and Sindh respectively on Thursday, September 15.

Here's a summation of what transpired in two exciting T20 fixtures: 


Match 25: Northern vs Balochistan

Balochistan rode on fine performances from their bowlers and a sensational half-century from Haris Sohail to decimate Northern by six wickets at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Balochistan restricted Northern to 168/6 after putting to bowl first and gunned down the target with three balls to spare, thanks to Haris Sohail's unbeaten 52 off 36 balls, which he scored by tonking seven boundaries. 

The likes of Abdul Bangalzai (27 off 17), Hussain Talat (31 off 22), Ali Waqas (19 off 15), and Amad Butt (15* off 6) also chipped in with handy contributions. 

Earlier, Northern rode on a terrific 73-run stand between skipper Umar Amin (67* off 48) and Mubasir Khan (29 off 19) and breezy cameos from Nasir Nawaz (17 off 14) and Sohail Tanvir (19* off 14) to post a challenging total of 168/6.

Match 26: Central Punjab vs Sindh 

A fantastic half-century by Qasim Akram followed up by a clinical and disciplined bowling performance helped Central Punjab outsmart Sindh by 17 runs at Multan Cricket Stadium. 

Saim Ayub (46 off 33) and skipper Saud Shakeel's (44 off 28) flamboyant knocks were not enough for their side as Sindh eventually failed to reach the target and were restricted to 149 for 5. 

Earlier, Central Punjab, after putting to bat first were bowled out for 166 runs in 19.4 overs, courtesy of Sohail Khan's three-wicket haul and Ghulam Mudassar (2/24) and Asid Mehmood's (2/36) sensational bowling spells.
