Madhya Pradesh and Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer has lavished praise on the newly appointed Knight Riders head-coach Chandrakant Pandit in an exclusive interview with OneCricket.

The 27-year-old knows all about the 60-year-old coach having watched him closely in the domestic circuit. Iyer has been working with Pandit over the last two years as well.

Pandit is a renowned name in the domestic circuit and his achievements speak volumes about his coaching pedigree.  The former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman guided Mumbai to consecutive Ranji Trophy titles back in 2003 and 2004. The 60-year-old followed that up with back-to-back Ranji titles with Vidarbha in 2018 and 2019.

Madhya Pradesh won their maiden Ranji title under his tutelage in 2022 and Pandit will now look to stamp his authority in the Indian Premier League.

KKR won the IPL back in 2014 and they will be itching to get their hands on the coveted trophy once again. All eyes will be on Pandit as he looks to make his mark with a step-up in his career.
