Indian cricket is blessed with elite batting talents that have graced the divine sport over the past many decades. From Sachin Tendulkar to Sunil Gavaskar to Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and so on. The list is endless.

For generations, Indian cricket has been identified as a batter-dominated cricketing nation. The great Sachin Tendulkar, popularly known as the GOD of cricket, further established the narrative. Then, Virat Kohli continued the trend in the modern-day evolved generation.

Having said that, the debate about the greatest of all-time legend of Indian cricket has been long withstanding, with fans being divided over the choice between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Pakistan pacer snubs Virat to pick Rohit as best frontline batter

The same question was recently proposed to Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan. When he was asked to reveal his choice of the most incredible frontline batter between Tendulkar and Kohli, Junaid expressed his unpopular opinion.

He picked Rohit Sharma as India’s greatest frontline batter to ever exist and someone who deserves to be awarded with a crown. The Pakistani pacer explained that Rohit possesses the unique ability to play with a variety of shots.

Junaid further added that while Virat Kohli is undoubtedly the greatest with respect to numbers, Rohit Sharma is being referred to as “Hitman” for a reason. He achieved the monumental feat of scoring a double hundred in a One-day format not once but twice.

Undoubtedly, Rohit Sharma’s effortless batting has attained him admiration from across the globe. His job as an anchor at the top order plays a pivotal role in the team’s momentum. The recently concluded ODI World Cup was a perfect testament to the skipper’s unwavering influence in the team’s overall success.

Junaid, who toured India during their historic tour in 2012-13, was India's nightmare with the ball, scalping 8 wickets across three outings. Interestingly, he scalped the prized wickets of Kohli and Sharma during the Chennai ODI, where he ended the day with 4/43.
