Riyan Parag was one of the retained players for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 and is an integral part of the franchise. He made his debut for RR in IPL 2019 and also led them in the absence of Sanju Samson in the 2025 season.
So, over the years, he has made a lot of friends in the RR camp and is one of the popular cricketers of the franchise. As a result, there is quite a lot of curiosity about his personal life and in a recent interaction on Instagram, a fan asked Riyan Parag about his best friend in the Rajasthan Royals camp.
Riyan Parag Chooses Young Cricketers Over Mentor Sanju Samson
In reply, the RR star has now shared a story which has a photo of him with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel. It clearly means that both these Indian batters are his best friends in the RR camp. During the 2025 season, numerous videos showed that the three of them were enjoying time together, and since they have played a lot of cricket together, they seem to have formed a deep bond.
It also effectively implies that Sanju Samson, who has been with Riyan Parag since his inaugural edition, is not one of his best friends in the team. The reason for this might be Sanju Samson's seniority, and he is probably more like a mentor for Riyan Parag.
Rumours Of Rift Between Sanju Samson And RR Camp
Also, recently, there have been reports that Sanju Samson is not happy with the Rajasthan Royals management and is likely to switch to CSK. There were also rumours of a rift between Rahul Dravid and Sanju Samson, with many claiming that the cricketer from Kerala is not happy with various tactical decisions under the leadership of Riyan Parag.
However, there is no confirmation of the authenticity of these reports, and it could just be a social media rumour. Over the years, Riyan Parag has always credited Sanju Samson for his growth as a cricketer and the two share mutual respect, which has been evident in their on-field interactions too.
