On Thursday, November 6, the ICC took to social media platforms to reveal the three nominees for October. The International Cricket Council has picked Pakistan's Noman Ali, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan, and South Africa's Senuran Muthusamy.

The past month saw several mouth-watering clashes, and bilateral series such as Pakistan vs South Africa and India's tour of Australia. The Test series between Pakistan and South Africa ended in a draw, which is why the ICC rewarded players from both teams.

Meanwhile, the ICC also picked Rashid Khan for his heroics in the white-ball series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Let's also look at the contribution by each individual in the past month, which helped them earn the ICC player of the month award nomination.

1. Senuran Muthusamy (South Africa)

The 31-year-old South African bowler wreaked havoc in the first Test against Pakistan when the star spinner took an 11-wicket haul to rattle hosts Pakistan. In the 2nd Test, Senuran couldn't help his side with the ball, but showed his batting prowess and played a beautiful, unbeaten 89-run knock to help the Proteas level the two-match series.

Across the two Tests in October, Muthusamy scored 106 runs at an average of 53 and claimed 11 wickets at a stunning average of 18.36.

2. Noman Ali (Pakistan)

For Pakistan, Noman Ali has been rewarded for his consistency and for helping Pakistan win the first Test vs South Africa. In the recently concluded series, the 39-year-old picked up 14 wickets in four innings, which includes a ten-wicket haul in the first Test.

3. Rashid Khan (Afghanistan)

Rashid had a great October as the right-arm spinner picked up 14 wickets across formats. Khan took a fifer in the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh and also three-wicket hauls twice in the same series.

Further, in the series against Zimbabwe, he picked up a three-wicket haul in the 2nd T20I.
