The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, as announced by BCCI on Tuesday, May 20. Along with the final, Ahmedabad will also host Qualifier 2 of the tournament. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator match will be held at the Mullanpur Stadium, home to the Punjab Kings.
In preparation for these matches, Ahmedabad police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions around the stadium. This is to ensure smooth traffic flow, crowd management, and safety, as the matches will attract large crowds, including VIPs, players, celebrities, and fans.
The matches scheduled at the stadium include Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants on May 22, Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings on May 25, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the Final on June 3.
Ahmedabad Police Announce Traffic Restrictions:
The road from Janpath T-junction to the main gate of Motera Stadium, passing through Krupa Residency T-junction and Motera Village T-junction, will be closed for vehicles.
Alternative routes will be available from Krupa Residency T-junction to Sharan Status Crossroads, then onto Bhat-Koteshwar Road, leading towards Apollo Circle.

Narendra Modi Stadium Set To Host IPL Final For The Third Time
Meanwhile, this will be the third final hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the last four years. The venue has hosted the 200 and 2023 finals and now will be hosting the 2025 one. The 2023 IPL final at the was hosted for 48 overs, after rain had significantly marred play on the first day. CSK had lifted the trophy that year in a thrilling match against the Gujarat Titans.
