Cricket fans have admired the brotherhood between Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh, especially during the IPL 2023. The duo, who represent Kolkata Knight Riders, are now set to be part of the same unit in India’s domestic circuit as well.

Rana recently requested from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and the necessary clearances. The DDCA joint secretary, Rajan Manchanda, confirmed to CricketNext that it had been given and that Rana would soon be joining Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming domestic seasons.

DDCA Official Confirms Nitish Rana's Departure

"Yes, Nitish Rana is likely to come to UP for the domestic season. Formalities are being worked out and official statement will be issued soon," a DDCA official told CricketNext.

During the previous Ranji season, Rana's captaincy of Delhi was abruptly removed, and the DDCA named Yash Dhull as their new skipper.

In total, the 29-year-old has made 2507 runs in First-Class Cricket in 44 matches, averaging 39.79. In List A Cricket, he has scored 2209 runs in 71 matches at 38.75, while in T20s, his records read 4275 runs in 175 games.

Meanwhile, Rinku is the top domestic cricket player in India. His First-Class Cricket average stands at 57.82 thanks to his 3007 runs in 42 games. His List A Record, which he has amassed after 55 games and 1884 runs, is equally astounding.

Now that Rana is set to team up with Rinku, the Uttar Pradesh team will be one to keep an eye on in the upcoming Ranji season, which gets underway on January 5.
