There is some positive news for Team India ahead of the upcoming T20I series against Australia. Young Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who missed the third and final ODI in Sydney due to injury, is expected to recover in time for the five-match T20I series.

According to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), Reddy suffered a left quadriceps injury during the second ODI in Adelaide. This ruled him out of the Sydney match on Saturday. The BCCI’s medical team has been monitoring his recovery closely and reports suggest he is healing well.

The BCCI said, "Nitish Kumar Reddy sustained a left quadriceps injury during the second ODI in Adelaide and was subsequently unavailable for selection for the third ODI. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring him on a daily basis."

In his debut ODI, Reddy made an impressive start by scoring a quick 19 runs that helped India reach a respectable total. His confident batting and ability to fill in for injured all-rounder Hardik Pandya caught the attention of fans and selectors alike. Although India eventually lost the ODI series 2–1 to Australia, Reddy’s performance was seen as one of the bright spots for the team.

Good news for Indian Team

Now, as India prepare for the five-match T20I series starting on October 29 in Canberra, reports from Cricbuzz indicate that Reddy’s injury isn’t serious. He is expected to remain with the squad throughout the series. While there’s still a small chance he might sit out the opening game as a precaution, team sources are confident that he will be available for selection in the remaining matches.

This comes as a relief for India, which values Reddy’s versatility as both a batter and a bowler. His return adds depth to the squad, especially with key players like Hardik Pandya recovering from previous injuries.
