A cryptic Instagram post by renowned cricket presenter Jatin Sapru sent social media into a frenzy late Tuesday, with fans speculating about a behind-the-scenes "feud" between him and former India spinner Harbhajan Singh during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 coverage.

The drama unfolded just a day after India’s thrilling victory over New Zealand in the final, where Rohit Sharma’s men lifted the Champions trophy in 12 years.

Jatin Sapru's Cheeky Dig At Harbhajan's Domination

Jatin Sapru, known for his witty commentary and camaraderie with experts, shared a now-viral note on Instagram.

“With all due respect, it’s my humble request to the concerned authority ki aage se mujhe Bhajji Sir ke saath partner naa karein. 🙏🏽 Unhone mujhe bolne ka mauka hi nahi diya. I don’t think it’s fair.”

Jatin cheekily added in the comments, “Can’t believe I’m speaking out against my own partner, but @harbhajan3 left me with no choice!”

The post immediately sparked theories, with fans wondering if tensions had flared between the duo during the tournament’s commentary.

However, closer inspection of their on-air chemistry during the final revealed the likely trigger, a hilarious moment when Harbhajan, in his signature animated style, hijacked the mic during India’s winning runs.

Netizens Decode The Feud

While Sapru’s post initially raised eyebrows, the comment section quickly decoded it as a tongue-in-cheek gag. “Arey sir log sirf aapki awaaz ko sunna pasand karte hai, dusra koi bolne laga toh channel change kar dete hai,” joked one user. Others pointed it out as a marketing gimmick, "Don’t worry, it’s a marketing tactic 😂"

Jatin Sapru has been a well-known figure in Indian cricket broadcasting for years, admired for his insightful analysis and engaging presentation. His on-screen chemistry with former cricketers like Harbhajan Singh adds an entertaining touch to live coverage, making him a fan favourite.

Meanwhile, India’s victory itself was a nail-biter. Chasing 252, Rohit Sharma anchored the innings with a gritty 76, while Hardik Pandya’s 18 off 18 and Jadeja's boundary sealed the deal.
