Nepal’s cricketing journey continues to gather momentum as they are now announced as one of the four international teams for the upcoming 2025 Top End T20 Series in Darwin, Australia. Set to take place from August 14 to 24, the series will serve as vital preparation for Nepal ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers later this year.

Nepal Boost T20 World Cup Plans with Big Australia Tour in August

Following their recent successful T20I series against Netherlands and Scotland in Glasgow, Nepal are riding high on confidence and under the guidance of their new head coach and former Australian batter Stuart Law, they will look to build further on their recent successes.

The team Nepal is scheduled to arrive in early August in Darwin and will play a minimum of six T20 matches across two venues - DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, and Cazaly’s Arena. The full schedule and remaining participants of the Top End T20 Series will be revealed in the coming weeks.

A Historic West Indies Series to Follow

Having said that, after the Top End series, Nepal are set to play their first-ever bilateral T20I series against the West Indies in Sharjah in September which will be followed by the crucial World Cup Qualifiers in Oman in October.

So, this series of matches for Nepal, including a crucial tour to Australia, will be very useful for them to prepare the perfect squad and strategies as they aim to secure one of the final three spots at the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

Bright Horizons Ahead for Rising Nepal Cricket

It is a promising phase for Nepal cricket without a doubt, both on and off the field. The amount of passion Nepal has for cricket is breathtaking and a driving force that could one day turn their boldest dreams into reality.

Now, with a focus on developing domestic cricket, investing in infrastructure, and producing talented young players, the nation has its eyes firmly set on achieving Full Member status and eventually play Test cricket as well.
