The stage is set for popular former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu to make a grand comeback to commentary and broadcasting via the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting March 22.

The famous Sardar from Punjab has joined broadcasters Star Sports' "Incredible Starcast" and assigned commentary duties for the looming iteration of the annual T20 carnival, where he will be entertaining fans with his inimitable style and great one-liners behind the mic.

Sidhu, who was last seen doing commentary for Star Sports in 2013-14 before doing television entertainment work with famous comedian Kapil Sharma and then resuming his political career, had been with his ailing wife as she recovered from her battle with cancer in the last two years.
